Seven Generals Recieve All Region Nods

Seven Generals Receive All Region Nods

After a successful season the Men’s Soccer team was awarded with several athletes being named to All-Region North on Tuesday. Titus Nickson and Nicolas Parris both received First Team Accolades, while Easton Hartman, Chase Johnson, Jose Guerrero, Francisco Pacheco, and Brad Whiles all received Second Team Accolades.

Titus Nickson, Sophomore Defender has his second First Team All Region North accolade since his time at Sheridan College. The Defender has started and played 90 minutes in every game as a General. This year he was once again a standout defender in the conference, and a key factor in the best goal differential in the region for the Generals.

Nicolas Parris, Freshman Forward who made an immediate impact on the offensive side of the pitch. No stranger to post season accolades Nick hit the ground running this year with 4 goals and 2 assists in 8 games. (3 of the goals were game winners)

Easton Hartman, Freshman Goalkeeper posted the best save percentage in the North Region (.791) and had the best goals against average in the North Region (1.73) as well as team Co-Captain.

Chase Johnson a transfer Sophomore Defender was the anchor in the defensive line this year. Known for his key tackles throughout the game, Chase was truly the General of our defense and lead the team as Captain.

Jose Guerrero a transfer Sophomore Midfielder controlled the middle of the park for the Generals. Throughout the year Jose sparked the offence with key passes, and broke up opposition attacks with key tackles. Jose adds a 2nd All Region Accolade to his career as he was also given the nod at NJC in 2015.

Francisco Pacheco, Freshman Winger provided pace and creativity in wide areas for the Generals. Francisco “Frank” missed out on the last two games of the season with a hamstring injury, but still boasted 1 goal and 3 assists over the 8 game season.

Brad Whiles, Freshman Midfielder provided a spark and intensity to the middle of the park the entire season. Brad’s passion for his teammates and selfless attitude lead him to start every game as a Freshman, and team Co-Captain.

Congratulations to all players who received their accolades this post season!
