Generals Move to 4-1

The Sheridan College Generals hit the road this past weekend as they travelled to La Junta, CO to take on Otero Junior College and Trinidad State Junior College.  In Friday night's action against Otero JC, the Generals went up against a very talented and well coached Rattlers team, but were still able to come out with a 86-79 road win.  In their second matchup at the Otero Holiday Inn Express Classic, the Generals battled Trinidad State.  After getting off to a good start and taking a 40-37 lead into halftime, the Generals weren't able to hold on for the win, falling to Trinidad State 87-85.

The road trip wasn't over yet for the Generals as they still had to make a stop in Torrington, WY on Monday night to take on Eastern Wyoming College.  After falling behind 13-8 to start the game, the Generals went on a 52-29 run to end the first half.  In a high scoring affair, the Generals knocked off the Lancers 122-104, moving their record to 4-1 on the year.

In the three games over the weekend, Channel Banks averaged 21 points and 6 assists, while AJ Bramah scored 17 points and pulled down 9 rebounds per game.

The Generals will have their home opener on Friday, November 17th as they take on Northeastern Junior College in the nightcap of the Holiday Inn Classic at 7PM.
