The Sheridan College Generals took a trip over the Big Horn Mountains this past weekend, as they traveled to Powell, WY to take part in the Big Horn Federal Classic hosted by Northwest College. On Friday, the Generals had a rematch against Rocky Mountain College JV, a team they just beat by 19 a week earlier. Getting off to a hot start, Sheridan College took a 54-29 halftime lead into the locker room. Led by 16 points from sophomore Ladan Ricketts, the Generals cruised to 10-1 on the year, defeating Rocky Mountain 96-68. Including Ricketts, the Generals had five players score in double figures. Kon Anguik finished with 12 points, while AJ Bramah, Sidy Sissoko and Caleb Stewart all finished with 10 points.
In their second game of the weekend the Generals went up against the 10-2 Dawson Community College Buccaneers. After starting the game on a 8-2 run, the Generals continued to expand their lead thanks to 17 1st-half points from sophomore Channel Banks. After a couple highlight dunks from freshmen Camron Reece and AJ Bramah, the Generals led 53-30 going into halftime. The second half was more of the same for Sheridan College as they grew their lead to 29 with just under 8 minutes to play. Once again, the Generals would finish the game with five players scoring in double digits. Channel Banks led the way with 21 points, followed by Camron Reece's 16, Keenan Dowell and AJ Bramah's 13, and Ladan Ricketts finishing with 10 points.
With the win over Dawson Community College, Sheridan College now moves to 11-1 on the season. With another road trip this weekend to Williston State, the Generals only have three games remaining before heading home for Christmas Break.
