The Sheridan College Generals men's basketball team finished a season sweep of the four North Dakota junior colleges they faced this season, as they knocked off Williston State on Friday night 79-64. This being their second win of the season over the Tetons, the Generals have also beaten Dawson Community College, Bismarck State College, and Lake Region State College all in non-conference play. Facing the Tetons on their home floor, Sheridan College got off to a slow start in the first half after committing 14 turnovers. However, the Generals were able to take a 35-32 lead into the break behind an 11-3 run in the last two minutes.
In the second half the Generals were able to take care of the ball better and they outscored the Tetons 44-32. Channel Banks had an impressive shooting night as he went 5-7 from behind the arc and finished with 25 points. Camron Reece continued his dominance inside, scoring 15 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Sean Sutherlin was a big factor for the Generals coming off the bench. The freshman made multiple big plays down the stretch and finished with 16 points.
In their second game of the weekend, the Generals faced off against the Williston State alumni team, which was made up of a group of former college players. All 12 Generals that played were able to get in the scoring column, as Sheridan College went on to win 108-65.
