The Sheridan College Generals men's basketball team started the 2018-19 season off with a 96-67 win over the defending Region IX South Champions, Otero Junior College. After jumping out to a 43-32 halftime lead behind AJ Bramah's 12 points and Sean Sutherlin's 10 points, the Generals blew the game open in the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half, going up by as much as 39 points with just under 9 minutes left in game action. It was a balanced attack for the Generals, as 12 of the 13 Generals that made an appearance in the game scored for Sheridan College. Sophomore AJ Bramah picked up where he left off as a freshman, leading the way with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Freshman Jay Lewis provided a big spark off the bench, connecting on four 3-pointers and finishing with 16 points. Sean Sutherlin and Sasa Vuksanovic were the other two Generals in double digits, finishing with 14 and 11 points respectively.
Sheridan College starts the season 2-0. The Generals travel to Montana this weekend as they play at Miles Community College on Friday at 7pm, and then travel to Glendive where they take on Dawson Community College on Saturday at 6pm.
